Acerca de Brenda
I introduce myself in english but I am a native spanish speaker. My name is Brenda Farias, I am 35 years old. I am from Argentina but I am actually living in Spain. I complete all my academic studies in Argentina and I graduated from Universidad Argentina de la Empresa as a Sworn Translator. It was a 4 years duration degree which includes technical scientific translation intermediate degree.
While I was at university, I was hired by a small Environmental Consultant company. There, I learnt about environment and I was in charge of the administrative and human resources area. I worked for ten years until January 2021 when I moved to Spain.
I did few translations during my university period and I did some as a freelance translator. Also, I did English tutor classes to kids and teenager students.
I want an opportunity to get a job which allows me to achieve experience a translator.

Presentación Personal en Idioma español
Mi nombre es Brenda Farias, tengo 35 años y soy Argentina siendo el español mi lengua materna. Actualmente vivo en España. Estudie toda mi vida en Argentina y finalmente ingrese a la Universidad Argentina de la Empresa para graduarme con título de 4 años de Traductora Publica en Idioma Ingles. Cabe aclarar que tengo un título intermedio como traductora científica-técnica.
Mientras estudiaba en la universidad, me contrataron de una empresa de consultoría en medio ambiente donde obtuve conocimientos técnicos sobre el medio ambiente y estaba a cargo del área administrativa y los recursos humanos. Trabaje hasta por 10 años hasta Enero 2021 cuando me mude a España.
He realizado traducciones de temas varios mientras cursaba en la universidad y algunos luego de recibida de modo freelance. Además, he dado clases particulares de inglés a niños y adolescentes.
Tengo ganas de encontrar oportunidades laborales distintas que me permitan continuar desarrollándome como traductora.

Teaching methods that I use:
The Direct Method: This is done entirely in the target language. The learner is not allowed to use his or her mother tongue. Grammar rules are avoided and there is emphasis on good pronunciation.
Grammar-translation: Students learn largely by by translation to and from the target language.
Audio-lingual: learning a language means acquiring habits. There is much practice of dialogues of every situation. New language is first heard and extensively drilled before being seen in its written form.
Communicative language teaching (CLT): It enable learners to communicate effectively and appropriately in the various situations she would be likely to find herself in. The content of CLT courses are functions such as inviting, suggesting, complaining or notions such as the expression of time, quantity, location.
The Silent Way: My aim is to say as little as possible in order that the learner can be in control of what he wants to say. No use of the mother tongue.
Task-based language learning: The completion of a task which in itself is interesting to the learners. Learners use the language they already have to complete the task and there is little correction of errors.
The tasks are subsumed in a major topic that is studied for a number of weeks. In the topic of ecology, for example, students are engaged in a number of tasks which includes reading, searching the internet, listening to taped material, selecting important vocabulary to teach other students etc.
