Acerca de Antonio
I have been teaching Spanish since 2006, when I started to teach one to one in London. I have taught mainly to professionals from all walks of life. My students have enjoyed the way I teach: relaxed, no pressure but going straight to the point. I love to encourage my students to read, watch and practice a lot. They are provided with resources and the necessary tips to do their practice properly. I teach them about Spanish culture, current affairs and I always put a pinch of humour.
I know very well the challenges native English speakers face and I can help with that. Furthermore I have a good level of English and I can use it to explain concepts and ideas when needed. I am not one of these teachers that think full immersion in the language is the only way. If a small explanation in the mother tongue contribute to the learning of the new language... why not?

My lessons are mainly for adults and uni students.
This is the deal I offer to you: little theory and lots of practice.
I firmly believe that practice is the way to learn a language. Theory makes sense through practice. I will elaborate on this idea. When you practice lots of situations -in Past, Future, Conditional, etc.- the need of Theory start to appear. The student will need Theory to sort out practical situation wether in the Speaking or the Writing. In other words, the student will need a solution (Theory) to a practical problem. I think that explaining Theory on the go is the way to really make sense of it. Theory is the accessory and practice the tool to explore and discover the language. From my viewpoint this is central.
