Acerca de Aaron
I have taught for 15 years, and my focus for the last 11 years has been preparing students to enter university in both England, and then America. For the previous 5 years I taught Literature at the top bilingual school in Shanghai.
I have led a team of 8th grade Literature teachers, taught 10th grade Literature, and have written several recommendation letters for students entering university. I take pride if begin professional, courteous, and organized.
I studied two majors in university in America: Literature and Philosophy. I am passionate about exploring the big ideas of life through stories. By exploring the structure and details of a piece of literature we can come to a better understanding of ourselves and the world we belong to. The process can be very enjoyable as well!

- My teaching plan is based on your level, needs and interests, and from this I build a curriculum.
- My method will based on the goal of making the texts come alive by connecting them to your own experience and ideas, as well as the outside world. We will do this through discussion, other sources (such as videos and music), and other texts.
-A typical lesson will be short discussion on the ideas that the texts explores, essential comprehension, close reading and analysis for key passages, and then by connecting the text to other big ideas, current issues, and world events.
-A primary focus will be on your writing as this will make you better prepared for your academic future in high school, university, and life after as it will sharpen your thinking and better able to express yourself.
-I have experience teaching Literature to students planning to study in America in both high school (grade 10) and middle school (grade 8), so I am aware of the skills that you will need to develop to prepare for your future.
