Just like you I am learning a language and right now I am practicing Portuguese and Spanish. As a lifelong learner I dedicate time to studying psychology, nutrition, music and languages in my free time, as I love the feeling of developing and growing. As a teacher I am invested in supporting you to study and progress with your English. Having an interesting conversation where I am learning about someone’s perspectives and ideas and sharing mine in return is deeply meaningful to me and this is one of the reasons why I enjoy giving conversation classes in English so much. I also appreciate the relationship I build with my students over time. Since teaching English I am learning more and more about my native language and I feel happy to be able to share and teach it to my students.

I am offering conversation classes in English, where you will build vocabulary, improve your pronunciation, and speak more fluently— all in a relaxed, supportive space. I’ll help you with mistakes as you go, so you can learn naturally and comfortably. No pressure, just real practice and real progress. In each class I will bring a new topic in the form of a text, audio or a video, and use this to create an interesting conversation. During the class I will make a note of any grammatical errors so that you are aware of how you can improve in this area. If you have a particular goal in mind such as preparing for a business interview or practicing to travel abroad, I am happy to personalize our classes to your objectives. I enjoy meeting new people and finding out about the way that they see the world and this is partly why I love teaching English. I appreciate the time I spend with my students and seeing them develop over time. If you're a complete beginner, I may not be the most suitable teacher for your current level. However, if you already have basic conversational skills and are looking to enhance your fluency, build your vocabulary and sharpen your grammar, I can support you through conversation practice. I would love to help you build confidence and enjoyment when speaking English and I invite you to take a trial class with me so that we can find out how I can help you achieve your goals.

Theresa es una profesora excelente que sabe adaptarse a las necesidades del estudiante. Puede seguir libros y lecciones estructuradas si es lo que buscas, pero también es muy flexible. En mi caso, le pedí que me centrara en la conversación para mejorar mi comunicación en el trabajo, y me ha estado ayudando a usar un inglés más profesional mientras me corrige. A veces también leemos artículos juntos y hablamos sobre ellos para mejorar mi comprensión. Su forma de enseñar se siente muy natural y adaptada a mí, lo que hace que el aprendizaje sea mucho más efectivo.
