Acerca de Megha
I'm a research scientist at EMBL Barcelona with a Physics MSc from IISc, one of India's top institutes. English has been part of my education and daily life for as long as I can remember, and somewhere along the way I realised I love the moment something finally clicks for someone — when a confusing rule suddenly makes sense, or a nervous speaker starts talking without overthinking every word.
I've spent years explaining complex ideas clearly, whether to fellow scientists or to students, and I bring that same patience and curiosity to teaching English. I don't believe in making people feel small for what they don't know yet — everyone learns differently, and my job is to find the way that works for you.
Outside of work I'm into music, painting, and swimming, so I get what it's like to pick up a skill from scratch and stick with it. If you're looking for someone approachable who genuinely wants you to succeed, let's talk

My teaching is built around understanding how you learn, not a one-size-fits-all script. In the first lesson I figure out where you're starting from and what you actually need — whether that's passing IELTS, sounding natural in conversation, or sharpening academic writing — and we build a plan around it.
Having sat IELTS myself and been educated in English my whole life, I teach the exam from the inside: how it's timed, what examiners look for, and the small habits that lift your band score. For fluency, I keep lessons conversational and low-pressure, correcting in a way that builds confidence instead of fear. For writing, we work on structure and clarity with real feedback on your own work.
Expect lessons that are practical, tailored to your pace, and focused on results you can feel. First lesson is free, so we can see if we're a good fit before you commit.
