Soy Jefe de Tecnología en Portable en Melbourne, Australia. He estado escribiendo software durante más de 15 años, comenzando con lenguajes de scripting como PHP y Ruby y pasando recientemente a la programación funcional usando Haskell y también Typescript. Domino la mayoría de las tecnologías basadas en la web, desde los marcos hasta la infraestructura.

Acerca de la clase

Mi método de enseñanza se basa en gran medida en lograr un resultado que resuene con los estudiantes. Luego, relacione eso con los fundamentos para que no solo aprendamos a hacer cosas en entornos específicos, sino para que pueda tomar esas habilidades y desarrollarlas para resolver sus propios problemas. Me gusta contar historias y explicar conceptos en un inglés sencillo antes de sumergirme en los tecnicismos. Lo considero una forma de tender puentes entre el lugar donde se encuentra un estudiante y su destino previsto.

Nathan was an excellent student - especially being very patient as we're working through some issues with his local development environment on his computer. It was great to be able to assist him in preparation for his University assignment submissions.

Tom has recently started with programming and the boot camp that he attended has started him on the right path. There's much to reinforce in terms of some of the basics however Tom is keen to learn, has a creative approach to solving problems and was generally, a great and friendly student to mentor.

Chris is a fantastic tutor. Very helpful, and really focuses on your individual learning path. He is great at giving you the information you need to work out a problem rather than just flat out telling you the solution, and he always explains things very clearly with good examples. I would recommend Chris to anyone who needs a coding tutor.
