Acerca de Naomi
I am a Cambridge CELTA certified teacher, who lived in Belgium for the past five years and decided to move to Barcelona and enjoy the good life. I have a BA in international relations and a MA in international development. I have experience teaching in a language school for private and group classes of all ages (children and adults included) as well as preparation for English testing (IELTS, First Certificate) and business English. Previously, I was working within the sports business and as a journalist for a couple of years. I however, understood that teaching was my big passion and hopefully I find some new amazing students that will share this with me.
I also enjoy painting, gastronomy and reading about new interesting facts about the world (trade, politics, science and fun discoveries). I usually include these in my lessons to try to stimulate my students as much as possible. I am an excellent manager and communicator who loves to use her creativity to lead engaging classes geared to each students' needs and wants.

I teach using the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), allowing students to learn how to respond appropriately in various real-life scenarios (asking directions, giving a business presentation). I work with Oxinity which provides students with an online tool that allows you to keep track of your progress and have all the material used in the class beforehand. The materials are engaging, interactive and fun, as they are constantly updated by the teacher community we work with.
I like to gear each class to the students' needs, as to create a flexible environment that will make us both happy. I primarily use a conversational method to mix up all the skills you need (listening, reading and speaking) to become a proficient English speaker in the quickest time possible.
