Hello! My name is Shannon. I am a native English speaker from Scotland, and a highly dedicated, professional English language tutor. I would describe my teaching style as dynamic, structured, and deeply empathetic. I firmly believe that language acquisition should be both intellectually engaging and practically effective.
As a fellow language learner (currently mastering Spanish), I know firsthand the vulnerability and challenges that come with speaking a new language. My goal is to eliminate that anxiety, building your confidence from day one so you can communicate naturally and fluently.
I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology and Counselling alongside a Level 5 TEFL Diploma. My academic background gives me a deep understanding of the cognitive blocks, language anxiety, and memory techniques essential for efficient learning, allowing me to help students overcome confidence barriers quickly. Fully certified in advanced teaching methodologies, I have experience teaching exam preparation for PET, FCE, CAE, and IELTS, as well as Business English for working professionals aiming to excel in interviews, meetings and presentations. Additionally, I deliver tailored General and Conversational English coaching designed to boost natural fluency, refine British idioms, and perfect pronunciation for real-world confidence.
